Founded by Olivier and Tony Award-winning producer Nick Sidi in 2025, Curveball Productions is an independent commercial theatre production company, producing work across stages in the UK, West End and beyond.
Curveball is committed to delivering the unexpected - a spin on the usual – bringing together innovative, cross-genre creative collaborations, and always with an artist-led approach.
Working with world-class writers, recording artists, directors, designers and choreographers, Curveball will nurture projects from page to stage to present bold and surprising new work.
With over 30 years in the industry - as an actor for more than 20 years and the last decade as a dramaturg and commercial producer – and before that as a qualified commercial lawyer – Nick Sidi has a unique insight into how to create shows from every angle.
At Curveball we understand what everyone needs at each stage of making a show – both the creative team and the producing team.
Curveball’s first production is the West End transfer of the Chichester Festival Theatre production of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, opening in January 2026 at the Haymarket Theatre. Nick developed the musical while working at Elliott & Harper Productions and the transfer is produced in the West End by Chris Harper Productions and Nick Sidi for Curveball.

"It was Nick that married Harold Fry and Passenger in the first place and without his ability to bring the two worlds together, I’m fairly sure it wouldn’t have happened. He has been a brilliant friend and collaborator and has helped to guide me through the process of writing a musical.
I have a lot to thank him for and hope to collaborate further in the future. Other than being a Manchester City fan, he is a great guy!"
